Take a look at the following

Hope this helps.

By the way
CDMA=Code Division Multiple Access.
TDMA=Time Division Multiple Access.
The maps that you'll be looking at on the site I mentioned
say A Side and B Side.
The A side is from the days when cellular companies
were part of the Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) B-Side
And the Competing Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) A-Side
AllTell may be the ILEC or B-Side
Cingular the CLEC or A-Side.

In many parts of Texas and other parts of the country, Cingular is now
operating TDMA, from existing equipment _and_ GSM, from newly installed
Ericcson units.

I don't understand what the map is saying. The lines don't show all
county lines making me not 100% sure where I am. I think my county is
blue on a side indicating AT&T. On b side it is yellow indicating
Alltel. Neither map show cingular in a county next to mine.

L.D.,
Most likely then, Cingular is not one of the carriers
that is serving your area.
As I stated in a previous post, the A-Side
is the CLEC.
Looks like the B-Side map has Cingular serving a god portion of TX.
