Just wondering if anybody knows how I can make my Motorola 120e switch
towers / providers, I can be riding along with friends that have Cingular
all over south Louisiana and they can talk almost anywhere and me with
Alltel can't. I'm on alltel national freedom.

The only things you really need to check are to see if A: your phone has the
most up-to-date PRL, and B: if it's been accidentally set to "Home Only".
To check the PRL, take your phone to an Alltel service center... to check
home only go into the menu, then settings, then other settings, then
network, then select automatic b... if home only was checked... therin was
your problem. If automatic B was selected, then check the PRL...

Go into MENU, SETTINGS, PHONE STATUS, OTHER INFORMATION, PRL VERSION.
If it's anything other than 703 you need to update it. Dial *228 and
listen to the prompts. Then follow the steps I gave you above to verify
it added 703 to your phone. The PRL file will give you all of the most
recent updates so you can get service in Louisiana. My mother was
recently in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge area and didnt have any
trouble.
Hope that helps!
