Anyone using the push to talk/ direct connect with alltel? I have been using
alltel for a few years and would like to try the push to talk but I want to
stick with a motorola flip phone. Alltel only offers the kyocera phones and I
haven't heard anything good about them, only bad. Anyone have any luck or did
anyone get alltel to turn on a moto flip phone for them. I am currently using
a V60i and moto makes a V60p but the reps at alltel say the don't know if it
will work.

It will not work, the v60p for verizon works on a different system. I have
both ptt phones from alltel and they work great. The reception on the ptt
phones is far better than any moto that alltel has now. look at
howardforums.com and there are discussions of a moto ptt for alltel but who
knows if that is true.

What did you hear bad about Kyocera phones? I've been using them
since they were Qualcomm, and I've found them to have a decent feature
set, despite the occasional bugs.
