I am wondering if the V710 phone on the Alltel system can transmit a photo
to my Palm T-3.

Can it use bluetooth to synchronize its address list with  my Palm using
bluetooth?

From what I have heard these features have been disabled on the Verizon
version of the V710.

What I want to know is if Alltel also disabled it?

Thanks,

Kirk

It's disabled... :(    I've been trying for the last couple of days to
get around it on mine. But no luck so far though blue-tooth, check on
this site for more info http://motov710.blogspot.com  You can do
everything though a cable but not though BT.

Nate,

Wow, that sucks.  I am very sorry to hear that.  Bluetooth is such a cool
feature and both the major CDMA providers have crippled one of the best
features of it.  The file transfer.

I saw a post somewhere on usenet where someone with a bluetooth camera phone
used bluetooth to transfer and print photos on one of those photo kiosk's
like they have in Walmart or Kmart.  That sounds like a very good and
convenient use for bluetooth.

How about offloading all the photos from the phone to my Palm, so I could
take more?  Sounds like reasonable things to do.

I don't see the point in having bluetooth on a camera phone unless it is
fully enabled.

I refuse to spend the bucks on a phone that doesn't have fully enabled
features.
