Isn't this akin to leaving your house door unlocked and receiving a
message after someone has stolen all of your possessions? Seems to me
it would be much safer to lock your house before you leave. By the
time you get the message, the damage has likely already been done.

You are assuming everyone has the same needs as you. I don't get your
analogy to open house at all. Actually it would be more like there is
several people in the house and you want to make sure no one is
touching your stuff. This sofware is great in situations like that.
