If you are angry with alltel and are interested in voicing your
opinions, I will be gathering information from people who have had
complaints about their service and taking a road trip next spring to
Alltel headquarters in Little Rorck to make the corporate people aware
of the kind of service tthis beloved company in giving to consumers. I
will rent a post office box for people to mail information to. I will
not do anything illegal because Alltel is not worth going to jail for.
I am tired of their crap and it is about time to let them know!

No, I'm quite happy. But thanks for asking.

I've been with Alltel since 2000. I'm very happy with the service.
My fone always works. Everyone else at work has to go outside or stand
by the window to use their fones, I can use mine anywhere, even in the
elevator.

I've been with ALLTEL since 1992 when I bought my first bag phone.
Initially, had a problem trying to get hold of customer service via the 800
numbers but soon found out if I dialed 611 they answered almost immediately
and always gave me great service. Have visited their stored up and down the
East Coast and have always been satisfied.
Guess you know which side of the fence I'm on.

Why don't you just cancel instead of renting a post office box and driving
across country with $3.00+ a gallon gas...?
Morty McSnerd - 22 Sep 2006 05:30 GMT
Like they are really going to give a hoot about him driving over there to
corporate HQ anyway.

Wah.
Alltel knows many customers are unhappy. Regardless, you can NOT make
everybody happy, period, no matter WHAT you do.

If you aren't happy with Alltel, switch carriers, especially if you
have already "served" your portion of the contract and are
month-to-month now.
What are you unahppy about? Besides, any carrier you switch to will
probably be the same way after a while of being with them.

I supposed he COULD go with Verizon and get a phone with everything
Alltel leaves running turned off. That might make Alltel look rosier.
It does with me.
I'd like EVDO that works better with much faster ping times so it didn't
time out on the servers trying to send me data. Ping Times to Charleston
range from 500 to 4000 ms, causing lots of timeouts and retransmissions.
It DID work great, but has dropped thruput to half what it used to be.
I'd also like them to fix Access TV on the MotoROKR Z6M so it had
LANDSCAPE FULL SCREEN mode so I could buy it, again. The Mobitv on it
now is shortwise and way too small to watch.
But, as a carrier, they're atop the heap in Charleston, SC, in price and
service.

How much longer can we pay for new cars at this rate?
Feb '97 it was $182/oz
