What band does Alltel use for their CDMA digital coverage in the Florida
Panhandle area? 800 or 1900 Mhz?

800mhz everywhere in the Panhandle as far as I know. Definitely 800 here
around Pensacola (Escambia & Santa Rosa counties).

That sounds right.  One of my friends said he had to get a newer tri-mode
phone when he moved from the panhandle to northeast Florida a couple years
ago.  (His old phone was 800Mhz.)

800.  AFAIK, the only place where ALLTEL uses 1900 *at all* (not
including licenses not yet built out yet) is Jacksonville.
