Motorola has a Software Update for the Alltel KRZR on their Support
page:

http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/motosupport/source/softwareupdateselect.asp

At the URL above, select Alltel at "Select Carrier Type",
then select KRZR on the Choose Phone Model link.

Then you download the app to your PC and run it to find out if your
phone is eligible for an update.

Did you look at all the carriers? Different carriers are updating
different phone, indicating to me that it's a carrier-hobbled-feature
update, not a Moto update that would be for all the KRZRs on all carriers,
not just one or two.

It doesn't say what was taken away......so be very afraid....
