Does anyone have any information on the availability of the Motorola V600
GSM phone with AT&T Wireless?  It seems to be a big secret.  It was supposed
to be released on Monday, February 16th but it is still MIA.  Anyone have
any additional info or know when it going to be available?

If its not out yet, it may be a blessing that you don't have one.

Why is that? are they having problems with it? or just delays?

Due to a software issue it was delayed 2 months.  I don't know what the
software issue was.

I rest my case.

Most of the time its the former. Once the FCC has passed it, only known
issues tend to delay release of a phone.

You should read http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com about the Sony/Ericsson T608.
Some Sprint users were so anxious to have a Blue Tooth phone they
managed to talk Sprint PCS into releasing the phone, only to now regret
it, as its so problematic.

To my understanding, the V600 has been available in the UK for some time now
and it is essentially the same phone so why would it be delayed here in the
states?  Also, I haven't seen any real negative postings for the V600 from
our UK users so what are the specific problems?  Should we stay away from
this phone when it is released?  I need a global phone as I travel a lot and
also like flip phones so it seems perfect for me but maybe I should do more
digging.
