Looks like about $10/mo. I'm sure there are cheaper ones out there.

Cingular announced last week that they will be keeping Mobitext in service,
despite their previous expectation that they would be withdrawing from that
market.

Save yourself the trouble and bullshit, STAY AWAY from "ArchWireless". This
is one f.cked up, left foot not knowing where the right foot head up their
a.s company!
They are closing offices everywhere. Customer service is practically
non-existant. So many other choices...Eddie

Arch Wireless and MetroCall just announced a merger. It is the
Burroughs and Sperry of the paging business. Several years ago
Sperry and Burroughs, two mediocre computer companies, merged to
form Unisys, another mediocre computer company.

Earl....you hit the nail squarely on the head. Metrocall is known for shitty
coverage (in southern calif). Arch is known for horrible customer service.
Together they should be able to provide worthless coverage AND piss off the
customers in fine style....I urge people looking into a pager to PASS on
both these companies...Eddie

Skytel is big and still rolling aloing. The way pager companies are closing
and /or being bought you need to be careful. One thing about Skytel is they
have lots of Governement and Federal and State contracts that will keep them
going. For instance, was watching special on US Marshalls the other day,
looked like a commercial for SkyTel. When you have pople on the move,
nationwide and need to get mass messages/info out, a good nationwide Alpha
pager is still a great communication device. I have a 2way pager with
Skytel, and although I rarely use it, for $15 a month with 250 Messages, SMS
capability also now, Nationwide capability(On this plan I must activate it
if I leave me Home area, 1-800 Number (no pin) and 60 minutes of VoiceMail
You cant go wrong. I cant bring myself to part with it. You also get a very
good selection of free news services that do not count against your message
counts.I have MSN Messenger with the MSNBC Major News alerts. I get them
5-10 minutes in advance of the MSN messager alerts, on the 2way pager (who
knows why I just said that but interesting news huh? lol)As soon as I do Ill
need it. Also, with the Wireless carriers getting very cost concious on Text
Messaging now, may come in handy. Skytel Alpha One Way starts at $10 a month
now. www.skytel.com
