I'm looking for a prepaid setup and am looking at CallPlus. The problem is
that I need a phone too and the only one they seem to offer is the old
Motorola T8097.

Is this oldie still ok? Was it ever ok?

I'd love to hear your thoughts/experiences.

Thanks.

I bought a Nokia 8260 on ebay.

Works like a charm. I use http://www.pharosint.com to get airtime cards.

T8097 is a good phone.  V60t's are fairly new and sub $50 on Ebay.  how
about Nokia 6360?  think old is better?  Nokia 5165.  You have more choices
than you think.

Ecall plus is a pretty good deal these days.  If you call overseas to their
select countries, international toll is included.
