Hi Mike,
I was just looking for the same thing. I couldn't find it either on the bill
or on the web site . I am seriously considering switching out. They charged
me another $40 for roaming calls for Nevada I made while skiing at Squaw
Valley, CA. Phone clearly showed ATT & never roam. My plan includes CA but
not Nevada. Person I called was skiing at Squaw and his (a Verizon customer)
phone bill shows the calls to my number at the exact times but his are all
listed a.s Tahoe City or Olympic, Valley, CA. Convenient way for ATT to make
money.
BTW I contacted you about a bike ride in your area last Oct from Moffet
Field. Had a great day & did 60 miles with some nice climbs to the top.
Thanks.

I called up customer service (and, surprisingly, have virtually zero wait!)
and spoke with a reasonably-nice person who was able to look up the
expiration date on my contract (July 9th, 2004) and let me know there were
no reasonably-priced options for a phone now, nor would there likely be
then.
Very strange company. If you're a new subscriber, there are all manner of
great deals. But if you've been with them for six or seven years and have a
T68i that they're working on making obsolete (new frequencies) and the phone
they offer you has few of the T68i capabilities...
It will be interesting to see how things work out after Cingular assimilates
them.

When you login to your account via the www.attws.com site you can view
your plan and it has the start date listed. Add 1 or 2 years (the
length of your contract) and you have your contract completion date.
Otherwise call customer service and ask.
I too am surprised that it is not printed on the monthly bill/statement.

I can't find the start date anywhere on the attws.com site, but called up
and found out that I've got until July 9th, 2004. Hey, could be worse!

I rechecked and you are correct about not finding the start date.
Login and click on "MY Service". It brings up:
NATIONAL PLAN $39.99
Promotions
Name Start Date End Date
UNLIMITED NIGHT & WKND Jun 28, 2003 Unavailable
200 ADDITIONAL MINUTES Jun 28, 2003 Unavailable
Lists the start date for promotions, but not the plan itself. Weird.

The start date for the plan should be the same as the start date
for the promotions. And "Unavailable" means that the promotions
last indefinitely (until you change your plan somehow).
I've been getting the offer for a $30 credit for extending my contract,
but I see two problems with that: 1) If I accept I get only $30, but
if I then cancel I would get charged the full $175 cancellation fee,
and 2) I suspect I would get screwed out of my 8 p.m. nights.

You could say you want the 7 PM nights in exchange for extending.

Where the heck is the "my service" on the attws website? I log in but don't see
anything that states "my service"! Can you be more detailed as to where this
link is? Thank you in Advance!

After you login to attws look toward the top 1/4 of the screen. There
should be a gray navigation bar that has:
>>My Profile >>My Bill >>My Service >>My Phone
It's right under:
MY ACCOUNT FEATURES & SERVICES PHONES & DEVICES CUSTOMER FORUMS

I checked it out myself and I noticed that it only had my account number and
did not state anything about service contract end date... At&t is not
consistent I guess??
