Check out AT&T on or after April 18.  On the national plan (NOT DOR)
anywhere your phone works is your home market.  Additional lines are $9.99
per month per line (added to a $39.99 or higher rate plan) and with a 2yr
agreement you get unlimited mobile 2 mobile as well as unlimited nights and
weekends.

How does that then differ from DOR?

DOR doesn't include unlimited night and weekends for free, unlimited mobile
to mobile for free, can't have lines added to it and doesn't have a plan
lower than $59.99 for 450 total minutes.  The $39.99 national will have 450
anytime, unlimited M2M, unlimited N&W and you can add a line for $9.99 more
per month.

So then why would anybody select DOR?  If I understand the offer,
National Plan works anyplace the phones work (I assume in the USA only)
which is the same coverage as DOR. Will DOR go away?

Correct, DOR (in its current form) is going away.  You will only have to
choose between local and national.  Pick local if you rarely travel outside
your home state because the plans will include more anytime minutes.  Choose
national if you travel at all outside your home state.
BruceR - 05 Apr 2004 01:20 GMT
OK, now it makes sense to me. That makes it a VERY good deal.

Digital One Rate is their plan that also allows roaming on any of their roaming
partners without additional cost. Any place the phone works is part of your
plan with DOR.

>On the national plan

You have to be on their (AT&T WS) network.

I thought the original post said that that's the way the new National
plan will work too.
