Hello All,

I currently have an NEC 515 phone with ATT, and the reception sucks. Can
anyone recommend a good phone for ATT with good reception, if possible with
an external antenna.

Thanks,
Martin.

Some users have reported if they change the way they hold the 515/525 so that
their hand does not cover the internal antenna at the bottom, they get better
results.

Actually, I see several people who hold their cell phone at the bottom or at
the lower middle- with their fingers.  If you (not you personally,
no insult intended) know anything about antennas you know that the greater
hight and clearance area an antenna has the better the
reception.  The few people I have seen who push the speaker to their ear also
bitch a lot about dropped calls.  To such folks I usually say "Stop
being a ninny and turn up your volume."
User ignorance of how to get a better signal does not excuse the maker in the
placing of an antenna on the lowest point.  How many people do
you personally know who do not almost cover the bottom of their cell phone with
the palm of their hands?

I was going to say the Nokia 3500 until you said external antenna. I swear
by the Nokia brand.
