We just signed up for for a shared minutes plan, we didn't sign up for
mMode.  I have been checking our minutes online and it shows that among the
four phones we have used 239 kb for something.  Where is this coming from?
We aren't accessing the internet or IM'ing or sending email.  We have
downloaded some ringtones, two games and done some text messaging.  I'm
assuming one or all of them would be the culprits, but wouldn't that be
double charging?  I mean the ringtones are a freaking $1.99 apiece, and the
text messaging is $.10 apiece and the games $4.99.  Don't tell me we will be
charged for the downloads by the kbs as well?  Does anyone know anything
about this?

OK, I won't tell you that, but that is exactly whats happening.

Thanks for the info. What a giant rip!  No wonder they are so hot to get
everyone migrated to GSM.  It never cost extra  to get ringtones on the
digital phones we had.  Another rip--once you purchase the ringtones or
games, there is no way of saving them for another phone.  You can save data
(names, numbers calendar info) but there doesn't seem to be any way to save
these ringtones and games for your next phone.  Is there?  If there is,
someone please clue me in.
