I totally like my v600, and as fickle as I am, I can nonetheless see
myself keeping it for quite a while. I don't use the calendar
functions much at the moment. Yes, you can assign ring tones and the
SMS capability is very good, although I still think Nokia rules with
SMS. I'm adjusting to iTAP and I'm actually beginning to like iTAP's
ability to predict the word you're typing.
The camera stinks, but hey, it's a phone, not a photography tool. I'd
like the v600 even if it didn't have the camera.
Bluetooth actually works, easily, even with one of those cheap USB
dongles you can plug into your computer.
The alarm clock is terrific. Reception is kick-a.s. The sound quality
is superb and I love the shortcut features, which are similar to those
on the v60. The speakerphone is quite loud. The design feels sleek and
solid.
Outstanding phone, in every respect that's important to me.

Well in my opinion it's the best of the best att wireless phones I have ever
purchased!
The speakerphone is excellent. The alarm feature let's you set up to 5
different alarms at different times with a snooze option and the option to set
a different ringtone for each alarm, although the phone has to be turned on for
the alarms to work(with some phones they can be powered off and turn on itself
according to the alarm time you have scheduled). The color display is
excellent with vibrant colors and great clarity of pictures. Since this is the
3rd phone I have with a camera it's one of the best because you can set the
size of the picture to 640x480 not bad for a camera phone. The reception is
great at least where I live....where I didn't get reception before I now have
with close to a full signal. The sound quality is superb, great clarity and
crystal clear also the ringtone(s) are great with the option to download
polyphonic and mp3's. The calendar is also awesome letting you set entries
with repeats daily, weekly, monthly and yearly! And having the bluetooth is a
great plus letting you pair many different accessories in a snap. More can be
found http://support.attwireless.com/awswls/support/index.jsp. Once you get to
that page click on See All Devices and choose the V600 from the website, then
from the left column choose what you want info on. If you click on customer
forums you get postings from people that own the v600 including questions,
solutions and features. You can really get some good feedback on the
v600!!!!!!! Hope this helps in getting info that you may or may not be looking
for but I would give it a shot. Good Luck!

I believe the phone does NOT have to be turned on for the alarm to work.

I like the phone. My only complaint is battery life. While it is not bad,
it doesn't compare to the battery life on my 6310i.
