I am going to cross post this in both the AT&T WS news group and Voicestream
news group.

AT&T Wireless has just released (the 29th of April) their version 3 of "AT&T
Wireless Communications Manager". It is heads and shoulders above the previous
version.

When selecting the connecting device it allows you to choos a phone or a PC
Card (the Merlin G100 is listed). If you choose the phone option, you can then
choose between IR or cable connection. Then you can actually choose the phone
make and model that you have.

If you choose the PC Card selection, you can then choose any of the supported
PC Cards. This includes the Merlin G100.

So I decided to check the speed of the AT&T WS connection when the SIM is
pluged into the Merlin card. The error message is that the SIM cannot be found.
I suspect this is a generic message that indicates that the PC Card is SIM
locked.

Now to the question - does anyone know how to go about unlocking this PC Card
so I can switch between SIM's as I choose?

Call ATTWS @ 611 .
"Assuming" you got the card from ATTWS, I would think they should be able to
unlock this for you.

The card is from T-Mobile.

While T-Mo is generally good about giving out unlock codes, I wonder
how you'd enter one on a device with no keypad...  Perhaps an AT
command from a terminal program?

Have you asked T-Mo CS for a code yet?

Not CS (MUCH higher in the food chain) but I should know tomorrow!
