A while back AT&T "upgraded" my T68i to a T226. I didn't know at the time
why they'd done this, but very glad they did. The T226, sometime around the
second week of April, suddenly sprang to life with the most consistent,
strong signals imaginable. Since this corresponded with indoor coverage
suddenly becoming available, my guess was that the Cingular/AT&T
cross-roaming agreements hit the airwaves and I was picking up 850mhz for
the first time.
A month of so of experimenting had confirmed that coverage had dramatically
improved (still a dead spot now & then, but nothing at all like before), and
that the TDMA on my wife & daughter's phones were steadily going downhill.
So yesterday we switched them over to GSM, with Nokia 3200s... impressive!
They now have reliable coverage all over the place, including our home,
where things had been quite spotty. Plus it's a tri-band phone, with
1800mhz so they can be used in France (not as good as a 900/1800mhz phone,
but still usable in most places). Put them on the family plan, which looks
like it will reduce costs quite a bit, especially since they have unlimited
calls between each other on the cell phones (and it obviously helps now that
the cell phones work at home).
Strange to see good news regarding AT&T in this newsgroup, I know...

It's kinda funny that one of the most important pieces of real estate in the
country, the park across from the White House, is called Lafayette Square.
I wonder if GWB knows who General Lafayette was? Nah, must not, or there'd
be talk about renaming the place...

Wow man, you're so smart and educated and all those good things. Now
go f.ck off and show off your smartness to your inbred friends.
Let me know when you're ready to visit Fallujah.

And you Stefan, are a dumb son of a bitch, probably of french origin
judging by the subject you chose. There's no cure for that my friend.
