I have a Go Phone I haven't used for MONTHS and I'm wondering do they still offer Free minutes after 9 pm?? or did they take this off? I don't see this mentioned on the website. Later they changed the per minute rates and included only plans costing $39.99 or more in the unlimited nights and weekends. Now there are no unlimited nights and the weekends start at 12:01 AM Saturday and end at 11:59 PM Sundays on plans costing $39.99 or more. If you have had an older plan which included unlimited nights and weekends, you keep them if you do not change plans. If you have been making the automatic payments, you should be covered if your plan originally included the unlimited nights and weekends. By the way, the term is unlimited nights and weekends, not free nights and weekend. They only apply if you are calling from the AT&T network. If you are roaming you might pay for roaming, airtime and long distance to and from your home area. GSM America does not apply to the GOPhone. SignatureEarl F. AT&T stopped offering Free nights in sometime January and just has the free weekends remaining. They also now add taxes and surcharges to your monthly replenish rate. AT&T is working hard to make sure they don't compete with post pay! The $20 plan was never competitive with other prepaid plans. The $30 was a great deal with the free nights/weekends, but not that those are gone, and the taxes & fees are added, it's not competitive at all. Even Free2Go beats this rate by a large margin, and you are not stuck paying every month. The $40 was a great deal if you needed that many minutes, and with free nights/weekend, GoPhone was in a league by itself. I have the feeling this stole away from the postpaid crowd. Then they took away the free nights. Then they added taxes & fees, which used to be included in the rate plan. Now you say they are taking away the free weekends. At 300 minutes a month, Free2Go is actually cheaper than GoPhone! And freinds that have the Go phones still have free nights and weekends. Nights went away on Feb 16 but if you signed up before then you can have nights and weekends as long as you don't change plans. By the way, as of now, weekends ARE NOT going away. The $69.99 plan will soon have nights and weekends though. People who signed up with GoPhone prior to the new pricing get to keep the free nights as long as they remain a customer. But new customers would be out of luck. U.S. Cellular has a prepaid plan that run similar to how GoPhone does (except you pay in store on by credit card on the phone without thet automatic replenishments), and all plans come with unlimited night and weekend minutes.
