You could always insert the SIM into a Blackberry, in which you could
then find the SIM#.
However, with the 6340i, if the SIM is invalid, it will home to the TDMA
network and GSM will simply be disabled unitl the invalid SIM is
removed. So, the SIM may not be active (or a working one). Try the SIM
in a GSM only phone and see if it registers.

The sim is not active. I cannot activate it if I do not know th
number. It does, however, bring the phone up on GSM and will call 611
911 and all the other free calls. I have 3 6340i's and have yet to se
one go to TDMA. All are unlocked. When I turn the phones on with n
sim, it simply states "Insert Sim" and will do nothing else, and I ca
not find anything in the menu to switch it to TDMA. I have no interes
in TDMA, I merely bought the phones because they are dual band and the
fit in my old 6100 Car Kits. I'll see if I can find someone with
Blackberry, but not likely
