I am taking a trip to Houston - mostly in med center area. Just wanted
to figure out if TDMA was still as strong as it was a few years back?
Thanks!

I haven't had any problems in my recent trips to Houston.

hey john-
since you are one of the few TDMA users on here. Have your phones
switched from AT&T to Cingular? My v60i has (then the antenna broke).
Back to my 8260 which works great (I miss that small size) and still
says AT&T alpha tag.

Two days ago my Nokia 3360 changed from AT&T to CINGULAR (all caps.)
Today my Nokia 6360 changed from AT&T to CINGULAR so I'd expect that
eventually they'll get around to your 8260 as well.

Signal is pretty strong in the Med Center area except at the new school of
nursing. I use a AT&T's Free-2-Go TDMA phone. I volunteer once a week at
the School of Nursing and when I arrive everything is just fine but by noon
the network must be pretty busy because I get a "Roam" message. Move around
a bit and you'll be ok. The rest of Houston still has strong TDMA signals.
