When Verizon Wireless announces its Q3 churn figures later this month that
it will have lost a lot of marketshare to ATT. VZW customers are waking up
and porting their numbers to ATT!

If you offer to make such silly wagers, you need to post your true and
complete contact details (including name, address, and telephone number)
so that the winner can get paid (and can take you to a collection agency
if you don't pay).
You also have to be honest about the terms of the wager. If the wager is
about churn due to iPhone, then you must exclude the impact of corporate
acquisitions (e.g.,, AT&T is buying Dobson Cellular One) when calculating
the numbers.

Sure, I'll take the bet.
Because that info is already public.
Alltel and TMobile took the biggest hits.
Three times more in fact.
Sprint and Verizon didn't - mainly because of EVDO.
Verizon even said publically that they saw an uptick in churn
initially, but it went right back down to normal. Which is STILL
the lowest in the industry.
Sorry, thanks for playing. What do I win?

Porting ratios went negative but a month afterward porting ratios were back," he said, adding that a
similar trend occurred when Apple Inc cut the price of its iPhone to $399 from $599 earlier this month.

Vodafone's CEO's words are nothing without numbers. Q3 numbers have

Why? Only if those VZW users don't need the wide coverage that ATT doesn't
have...

FWIW I don't know any one who "woke up" so get ready to send me your money.

For Apple cultists, blowing Steve Jobs is the definition of a life.
