I was reading something the other day that talked about how the use
of cell phones can cause problems due to the frequencies in cell
phones. In particular, it talked about the occurence of brain tumors
and other related problems that could come about as a result of using
a cell phone.
Is there any truth to this?

If you remember 'bag phones', they had a lot more power, thus were required
to carry the label to keep the antenna 3 feet from your head. Today's cell
phones are about 1/10 the output power.
On the other hand, a report form Harvard Medical school, in 2007, since
followed by another U.S. org and one in Europe, suggest caution letting
children younger than 12 use a cell phone. The human brain is still
developing up to that age, so new cells might be altered similar to the way
stem cells are influenced.
The speculation is tumors might not show up until they are in their 40s. I
asked my granddaughter if she wanted a cell phone so much she was willing to
risk it. She decided to wait another year.
