Hello There:
My 2 year contract with Cingular/AT&T cellular will expire in June 08, I was wondering if I cancel the service now, would
they make me pay for the 3 months missing until June 08?
I am hesitant to call to find out, the last two calls I did, (August 07, January 08) both times they offered me Fast Internet
connection which I said no and both times (?)they set me with the connection and it was a hassle to cancel it. I did complaint
about the "common practice" of the sales persons to set you with the service without you requesting but I doubt if they have
done anything about it.
Thank you in advance,
Lo
For reference, I am in south Florida.

I would call. What can they do? Unless you agree to what ever they want to give you free they cant do anything. You may want to record the conversation to be safe. You can bet they are. :)

Nope. They will make you pay a (possibly much larger) "Early
Termination Fee."
Unless 3 of your monthly bills add up to more than the ETF, you're
better off to simply keep the service active until your contract is
over and then cancel.
