My condolences to those $500 iPhone 1.0 owners who now own a worthless, but
cute, brick.

Wahhh!I use my worthless iPhone everyday since I bought it last July.
Got certainly adequate download speeds for all the web stuff. Text,
check email. Use Wifi about 80% of the time. Charge my phone every
couple days. Works everywhere I need. No crashes.
No compelling reason to change until I have any service issues. The
software is constantly seamlessly upgraded.
Sorry.

Then why do you pay so MUCH for Sellular data service that's so slow?

ATT says the average iPhone customer's bill is about $90/mo.  That's awful
high if you use the phone on wifi most of the time like you say....

He has to pay the 20.00 min a month to have a iPhone on AT&T
Comes with 200 SMS so the iPhone data plan cost 15.00 a month as 200 SMS
alone cost 5.00 a month.

It's going up in price when the new one's with 3G come out. My guess would
be 35.00 a month

The min plan for any phone is 39.99 plus fee's, then add the 20.00 for the
data along with taxes a fee's and it's about 66.00 a month.

My friend that has one pays 115.00 a month. He has his iPhone, home phone, and
his DSL all on one bill. His dad pays 170.00 a month but had Dish Network
added to the above.

If you let them send it all on one bill they take 5.00 off the total.

That's not too bad and in line for what I pay Alltel, $40 for 800 mins,
free n/w, free M2M, free LD and the usual toys plus $25 for unlimited data,
21GB last month.  With the fees it's around $76/mo, total.

If data is only $20 more, I can see for the 20% it would be OK, but if you
stay on wifi most of the time that's still $240/year that could be spent on
20 more gallons of liquid platinum at next year's prices for the guzzling
SUV.

Well, gotta go.  Emergency organ service at a church.  1949 Hammond won't
play.  Someone kicked the plug out of the Leslie, probably....$70/hr +
70c/mile...(c;

They should have bought the tubes that have a lifetime guarantee.
