[quote]
First quarter smartphone sales indicate that over twice as many people
are buying the Blackberry than are purchasing the iPhone. Blackberry
managed to snag over 44% of the market which is a huge leap, up a full
35% from the previous quarter. In contrast, iPhone sales dropped from
26% of the market down to 19%. Some people are saying that the
introduction of better wireless devices from Blackberry is the reason
for the shift. However, the change is probably due in large part to the
fact that nobody is purchasing the iPhone right now because they’re
waiting for the new 3G iPhone which everyone hopes will be announced on
June 9th at the Worldwide Developer Conference.

A year from now the iPhone will STILL be under contract to ATT, won't it?

....the way things are going, a year from now it will STILL have NO
INSTALLABLE APPS, unless hacked, too!...(c;

No, As you well know, as of next Monday (June 9,2008) it will have
installable apps.

Luckily Apple is riding herd over those apps, because Palms often
become totally useless devices that only know how to lock up due to
conflicting user installed apps.
