Not surprizingly, you missed Bob's point. The trades were filled with
stories of this "brave new world" of manufacturers calling the shots-
revenue sharing, unsubsidized phones, etc.
Bob simply pointed out that Apple's grand experiment failed, and iPhone
Deux is being sold jUst like any other phone- subsidized and no "bonus"
post-sale revenue share for Apple. Apple will make their money the old
fashioned way- on device sales only, just like Nokia,Samsung, Motorola, et
al.

Spot on, Todd. The fun part will be watching just how long it is before
Jobs get bored with selling a product he doesn't have complete control over
and makes the decision to "take the company in a different direction."

Make that me and the investment community. AT&T stock has given up a lot
of ground since the announcement and nobody' benn tripping over themselves
to buy Apple.
