Comparing Verizon and ATTWS in Detroit/Ann Arbor

I am looking for service in the Southeastern Michigan area and have
narrowed it down to AT&T and Verizon. 90% of my pick will be made using
2 criteria. Coverage and Coverage. I am not a power user (1200
min/mth) but it is critical that I can make calls. I know verizon is
the leader nationwide but I a have been told that AT&T is very mature in
the Michigan area.

Would love to hear from people that actually drive the area and use the
phone. Everyone has good luck sitting still but I am finding driving
the key.

Also, I am interested in combining my PDA and phone into one.
Blackberry series? Any thoughts?

My brother lives in ann arbor and he has ATT gsm service and he loves
it!

I have heard that Verizon is awsome, as it has the beverage and if you
do leave your area, chances are Verizon will cover!
