I live in NYC - and have to be in Florida during the first two weeks of
July.  If I buy an iPhone while I'm down South, can AT&T (or Apple) give
me a 917-nnn-nnnn number??  Tks

Last three times I activated a cellphone, the clerk asked me what
prefix I wanted. I was in Long Island NY (516/631 area codes) and I
asked for and received a 914 (NY), 818 (CA) and 330 (OH) number.
