I suspect that there will likely be riots on the sales lines. I'm sure

It's kinda funny to think that 20, 30, 50 years ago they were
predicting that we'd have riots on the food lines because starving
millions couldn't afford the scarce food available. The reality being
that the riots are about "essential" items like game consoles and
cellphones; we see long lines of 300lb teenagers fighting over the
last Wii in the store. So much for Malthus.

I do not think there will be any significant lines in the USA. I am
convinced we are in a recession which may become a global depression
by 2009.
