Do i need the enterprise version of the data plan to hook up to my
company's email?  I am clueless on why someone needs the enterprise
data plan if not.

No, it's typical AT&T data pricing silliness- if you have a business account
(in a company name/address) you pay $45 for data.  If you have a personal
account (home name/address) you pay $30.  Either plan will give you access
to your corporate e-mail.

Perhaps it's to offset the often generous percentage discounts AT&T gives
corporations with a large number of phones?  At 33% off, $45 is still $30!
;-)
