According to Fortune magazine, Apple 2.0 iPhone profits were an
approximate 330 million dollars in a matter of three days, due to the
release of the new iPhone. Marketers continue to go grey in confusion.

I take it that's "gross" and not net profit?

Here, again, you don't post the Fortune URL so we can read if for
ourselves.

What's the URL of this fantasy?

Larry how in the 'H E double toothpick' can anyone miss 115,000

Oh I get it, the Nokia couldn't get the query into Google?

Gawd dude, the format on your post is a mess... Let's take the url from
"clipmarks:"

> clipped from: valleywag.com
> Apple profited some $330 million from 3G iPhone sales over its first weekend,
> Fortune's Philip Elmer-DeWitt estimates. His back-of-the-envelope formula
> factored in iSuppli's estimate of the manufacturing costs of each
iPhone 3G,
> Apple's numbers on how many iPhones it sold over the weekend, analyst
> estimates on how much AT&T and other carriers subsidize each phone,
[quoted text clipped - 8 lines]
>     * Profit per phone: $274.67 (8GB) and $358.67 (16GB)
>     * Models sold: 33% (8GB), 66% (16GB) (Piper Jaffray survey)

In short, this estimate depends on AT&T paying full retail (aka List
Price) to Apple for each & every phone.  It's possible, I guess.  I'm
trying to think of another industry that has a similar set up but I'm
coming up short.

Considering every hit listed used the exact same sources... <shrug>.
Looks like the proverbial band-wagon approach to "reporting."

thanks for the sources,
-Craig

Damn!  You'd think the stock would go above $200, not drop to 160 like it
did yesterday!

Something smells like Halibut!

You have no understanding of The Market. Figures.

BTW: Halibut is delicious. Another of your shortcomings...
