> Windows Mobile running on an iPhone...
Has already been outed as a hoax, or more specifically, a viral marketing
campaign, like the "cellphones pop popcorn" video from a few months ago.
http://www.gearlog.com/2008/10/windows_mobile_on_iphone_is_a.php
Makes sense, since the "demo" on the video had no real interaction, but
appeared like the bunch of preset slides it was (i.e. he brings up the phone
dialer app, but doesn't press any numbers, then brings up the Start Menu but
doesn't scroll or select anything from it, etc.)
And the biggest tipoff? No real WinMo device boots that fast! ;-)

Hoax?
I am glad you caugght that one as why would anyone want to boot WinMo
when there is no reset hole for when Windows Mobile locks up?
New Hardware in 3G iPhone (see patent)
But this is neat Todd I found what appears to be a hidden piece of
hardware on my iPhone 3G. If you have one shine a light across the
face of it and look up in the top left corner. Hackers say that is a
dual purpose sensor which also can function as a video camera facing
the iPhone user for possible video conferencing. Do a Google search
for the latest on that discovery of a few hours ago. That black screen
hides that from normal view but should have little effect on video.

I can think of at least a dozen reasons to run WinMo on the iPhone.
Coincidentally they're the same reasons I own a WinMo phone instead of an
iPhone!

We support an application we wrote to run on the Motorola (Symbol) MC35. The
MC35 is an unlocked GSM phone that will run on either AT&T or T-Mo (I've tried
one on my T-Mo account and my boss has tried one on his AT&T account). It's
a nice smartphone, if somewhat pricey. The fact that it runs WinMo is, for
us, secondary to the fact that it'll run the apps we write. :)

It's all fun and games until someone starts a bonfire in the living room.

I can easily convince 90% of the iPhone users my tablet boots Linux and
WinXP Pro by simply calling home on rdesktop. The skeptics left soon agree
once I boot Xnews or Pegasus and start typing replies to usenet or email.
It does look quite real by remote control...(c;
I tell them that's why I carry the rubber Win keyboard around so I have all
the function and Windows keys, which all work over rdesktop, by the way....

Too bad Google Earth's intensive video doesn't run faster. Over wifi it's
nearly convincing if you make it stand still, not "fly" across the planet.
Android isn't a hoax. It runs on the tablet if you want to waste the
memory for it.

There is no apostrophe in "lets," genius.
