timezone update broken?

I just got a SE T616 and am using it in MA and NH.

If I turn on timezone update the time correctly syncs, but it keeps
resetting the time zone to GMT +0. Being at GMT +500 this is problematic
because it shifts all my synced appointments by that amount.

Are the towers misconfigured? Is ATT going to fix them?

I guess I have to turn sync off for now.

What did ATT say when you called and asked them?

I hadn't called yet because I expected a dumb support drone answer. But
since no one has a better answer here, I will call tomorrow.
