I am in Connecticut, where Cingular is the "B" side carrier using TDMA
(GSM also available, but not applicable here). I had a Motorola V60T,
which is now broken. The Cingular store said, if I brought in an
older Cingular phone (my analog StarTac) they would program it to my
number - and that has worked well.
Now, I realize I have a Panasonic Allure EB-TX310 from AT&T. It is a
dual band TDMA/analog phone. Would this phone operate as my Cingular
phone? I know, here in Connecticut, AT&T uses (or used) many Cingular
TDMA cellsites. Can Cingular program it with their PRL?
It's really quite a sweet phone. I'd like to use it, if I can.

Here is a thought. Call the local full service Cingular Dealer and say," you
have the equipment/sofftware to program my Panasonic Allure EB-TX310 to use
on my account?"

Take it in and have them program the NAM. It will work.
The older phones didn't have an IRDB they got the information straight from the
net on every call.
