Hey Roddles,

You spoke about a Optus Usage only plan once before, I have located it in
the SFOA but they wont action it on a existing service, any tricks?
Cheapest Postpaid Plan ATM is $9 with poor call rates, from memory the usage
only had no flagfall just 37c per 30 secs?

Cheers

Maybe you're thinking of the "Your Call Saver?" (can't remember what they
call it). Basically $0/month, no included calls, 25c/30 seconds, flagfall of
20c or thereabouts. Only condition is that I have to make at least 1 call
every 60 days.

the $9 plan from memory is approx 31cents per 30 seconds. but it does have a
flagfall.

Do you mean that thats your reading of the SFA or that
you asked them to change to that and they refused ?

> any tricks?

I had a fair amount of difficulty getting a phone answering
monkey to understand what plan I wanted, but then the
fuckwit had a problem even understanding what the SFA
was, but once he finally transferred me to their operation
they call Solutions Plus, she knew exactly what I meant
and was quite happy to do it. She f.cked it up tho and
managed to put me on Your Saver Plus instead which
isnt as good because it has a flagfall. Took me a long
time to notice, basically because the minimum call cost
was higher than it should have been. I rubbed their nose
in that and got put on the Usage Only plan instead, with
a full credit for all the calls that had been wrongly run up
on the Your Saver Plus plan for the best part of a year.

And an effective access fee if you only recieve calls too.

> from memory the usage only had no flagfall just 37c per 30 secs?

30.8c incl GST actually. Yes, no flagfall and no monthly fee.
