kinda scared of losing this sim... and for reasons i cant delve into, i
wouldnt be able to simply replace it if i did...
so anyone know where in sydney i could get a no questions asked duplicate of
my sim? (going to a 210number 30message sim would be nice, whatever capacity
that is)

Why don't you get a data cable for your phone and copy the SIM content.
If you loose the SIM it would be easy to restore.

You can lift the IMSI and Ki from most COMP128 based SIMs using the right
smart card programmer. You don't have to program it to another SIM straight
away, only if you lose the original SIM (keep the IMSI and Ki stored
elsewhere).

no, copy it so that if i lost the sim, i could use the duplicate sim in
place of it, on the same mobile phone account. (without having to go thru my
carrier to get the replacement sim)

uhmmm
phone numbers can be very easily transfered idiot.
either using a pc + datacable/bluetooth/IR, or even by just transfering over
to phone memory any numbers on a sim and replacing sim, then copying back.
heck, use pen and paper if you have to

how about you go and get a clue.

"kinda scared of losing this sim... and for reasons i cant delve into"

You want to tell us the reason why the desperate need to do a pirate copy of
this SIM?

Until you do the whole deal is VERY suss.
Daniel Juhn - 29 Feb 2004 20:43 GMT

The cost of the blank SIM is probably as much as your SIM replacement fee
