Can anyone please help me with setting up my NEC e616 on my PC?

I install the 4 drivers from the CD supplied with the phone, but 2 of
them don't seem to install properly.

No surprise then when I try to use the 616 PC File Transfer program I
get the error message "Handset cannot be detected. Please check the
connection."

I've tried on a couple different computers with the same result.

I'm hanging to get some music on it asap!!!

Thanks.

What operating system are you using?   Are they the latest drivers?   Have
you tried support site from NEC?

I'm using XP.  The drivers I used are the ones that came with the
phone.

However I notice that the filenames of the drivers only mention 98 &
2000.

I've looked on both www.nec.com and www.nec.com.au sites and they
don't even mention the e616 yet.  They seem to be a bit behind.

You are right,  there is SFA  out there on this,  did XP bring up any errors
when installing drivers?

I have not been able to get it to work under 98SE.

I asked NEC.. They said they don`t support 98... Even though there are
drivers for it on the CD...

So who knows! ;-)
