I have a Nokia 6210 currently and I'm reluctant to part with it as it's been
a fantastic phone and I love the shape and style of it, but I think it's
about time to move up to something with a camera and color screen.

A 6210 shape would be perfect but doesn't look like there is such a beast,
so the only other phones ive seen that ive liked are the little flip phones.

Does anyone have any recommendations of which brand/model of flip to buy...I
have heard from one source that the nokia version is crap.

Thanks

I like the upcoming Nokia 6820.  Kinda has the 6210 shape but opens up
to a full Qwerty keyboard.

I'm currently in the process in purchasing a 6230 around $750 it's a little
smaller and wider than my 6310i but I think it best suits my needs :)

Does it have the same form factor as the 6310i?

My wife and I both have 6310i's and car kits in our 3 cars + the boat.  It's
my impression that if we want to upgrade, our 6310-style car kits will not
accommodate any current-model Nokia phone.  True?

Yes you are correct - sorry to say. You could always purchase a bluetooth
headsets, at least then there won't be an issues with wires plus the
portability factor with the headset it's self.

Bluetooth headsets are not really an option.

We're often on the road in the bush and need the good reception that the car
antenna, integrated with the carkit, affords.  We also like the speaker,
especially when doing business together (we own a joint consultancy and
often need to conference-call with clients while on the road.)

We'll probably have to get new carkits if we decide to upgrade phones,
dammit.   Do you know anything about Nokia's bluetooth carkit?

Or maybe we just buy new Saabs with integrated bluetooth!

If you can afford that Saab yeah well that would be the better option ;-)
I'm not familiar with the bluetooth carkit's but if your looking for a tax
duction you could always purchase a Nokia 610 (in car phone mmm not cheap)
which can connect with you bluetooth phone (to read sim card) here have a
look http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,48031,00.html or if you just wanted the
standard bluetooth car kit (around Au$206) which I think would be the better
option  here's a link http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,4918,00.html

Cheers,

David
