The new Nokia 3105 recently released with Orange has, according to the
Nokia website, cabalities for sending photos and other media via MMS.
However, apparently the Orange network does not at the moment support
MMS and does not have any current plans for MMS to be supported in the
future.

Is it very difficult to incorporate MMS into a CDMA network and
wouldn't Orange eventually be forced to incorporate it considering
that nearly every new phone released on the market has these
multimedia cababilities?

The Orange network is currently being upgraded to provide support for
these features however they have always said that they want to be a
low cost voice provider.

Rubbish. They've actually said it in many times.

"Our Orange mobile business combines the superior call quality
features of CDMA network technology with Orange's simple plans and low
flat call rates, to provide customers with the best value mobile
service in the Australian market."

"However we wanted to take the next step by saying that we are not
just the affordable voice network but also now offer the most
affordable text."

Where abouts in that, does it say "voice only"?
