Can anyone confirm that the optus #121# service works with iSim on non
-GPRS/WAP mobile phones?
Just curious as a workmate who has Optus prepaid cannot access this
service and I have always assumed this is because it is offered only to
post paid customers for billing reasons. The fact iSIM is advertising
the service seems to discount this theory.

If they get #121# working I might just give iSim a go myself. Used to
use it when I was on contract with Optarse. Very handy for the
occasional sports result or weather forecast.

Thanks all for the replies.

If they do not deliver services that they have advertised, then a complaint
should be lodged with the TIO.Otherwise you end up with issues like Telstra
had (eg: CDMA Callback notification service) which was never implemented
until YEARS after Telstra advertised it was available

Nope. Not when it's clear in their Terms and Conditions that GPRS is not
guaranteed.

terminated at any time without notice."

Ive specifically enquired with the TIO on issues like this. On mobiles, no
VAS are guaranteed, nor do they need to work.

Its only the 5 or so enhanced calling features on the PSTN that the TIO will
be interested in

The TIO arent the be-all and end-all of those who wish to whine for
something to do
