I was after an orange deal, one of those 2 for 1 deals. I couldn't
decide between the Nokia 3105, LG HD7130 and the samsung N361????

Which one should I pick and why ? (or why not?)

Thanks,

Sam

Samsung.

Every samsung I have used or owned has been completely faultless and
intuitive, something that the creators put pride in.

Nokias are generic pieces of sh.t, and I couldnt bring myself to go back to
a nokia any more, excepting my trusty 5110 backup.... Menu times are
atrocious, SMS is a chore, and sound quality on both ringtones and phone
calls is not a scratch on a Samsung.

LG however, haven't used or owned any... Have a go of one in a phone shop
that will let you.

SMS is great on a Nokia. Couldnt be easier

Agreed. Only problem with the Nokia 3105 is the in-call volume as
mentioned by me a week or so ago.

I just got the 2 nokia 3105's deal,  they are great phones.
NO problem with in call volume at all, Loudspeaker function works great even
in the cars ( no Handsfree kit ! )
Only thing I thought it had and didn't was wap capability.

Overall, we are very impressed.

I can say the same about the Nokias that I've owned. Nokia 100 (AMPS),
3210, 3310, 5110, 6310i and 6385.

I have an LG DM150. It's a piece of crap. Small, hard to read screen.
Convoluted menus. No predictive text. Doesn't vibrate and ring at the
same time. Phonebook can't be sorted. No connectivity. Poor reception.

I replaced it with a Nokia 6385, which worked brilliantly til it got
water in it. It's now stuffed, and I've resurrected the LG til I can
source either another 6385 or perhaps get two new phones for the missus
and I. Ones that share the same car kit. Currently looking at the 2280
CDMA and the 6100 GSM.

Can you get 2 of the one type? If so I'd go for the Nokia. It has a car
kit for hands free operation, and it's (the car kit) compatible with
other Nokia phones such as the 2280, 6100 and others. The 3105 also has
data connectivity, so you can back up your phone book, etc..

Do the other phones offer similar features?

I've got the Samsung.  It's a great little phone.  The LGs are crap.
