I know there are a few regulars in here on the above plan. I got a
letter a few days ago stating that the minimum spend is goijng from $0
to $9 per month from 01/11/2004. This includes $9 worth of calls.
Thanks David Chung, Customer Relationship Manager, SingTel.
Oh well, get rid of it then, youll only have 29 SIMs left . . .

Don't like the idea of him catching up to you?

Anyone know of a $0 Optus plan? Call rate doesn't really matter as
I've got 3 SIMs on the Your Saver Plus plan sitting in Fixed Wireless
Terminals (very few outgoing calls are made).

Usage Only Plan.
You cant actually get it from scratch tho, you change
to it off a contract plan at the end of the contract.

I got it after only being with Optus for 3 months and not on a contract, I
simply said that the plan I was on wasn't right for me and they put me on
Usage only after checking my account details

Were you on a handset repayment option at the time?

Nope, had my own.

You've got one of those plans... have u received any pricing change
notification?
Joel - 21 Oct 2004 03:22 GMT
You cannot change to useage only from your saver plus, unless you on a
handset repayment option.
You're better off looking at one of the Voda no access fee plans.

No can do as Vodafone coverage sucks (as does Telstra) in the
locations of these 3 FWTs. Thanks for that though.

Are there any hidden gotchas with this? Am I correct in thinking it is a
post-paid service that doesn't require direct debit?
I see they have a similar $99 cap plan (for up to $300 of calls) but with
25c/30 seconds call rate, which might be better for some people (e.g. me,
as I am not going to reach the $49 cap).

I believe it requires direct debit or a directly billed credit card.

Well spotted, Tom - much the same offer as Your Saver Plus, but with a $99
voice call cap and 30c/10 min to Optus GSM after 8.

Nope, and I just got the latest statement days ago.

I've got 2 phones on one statement - one is Your Saver Plus and the other
is Usage Only. The letter says Your Saver plans are going to have the min
$9 and doesn't mention Usage Only.
Seems a bit stupid of them in my case because I'm going to keep my Usage
Only SIM and they are going to be billing me for even less.
I got my letter today 25 Oct and the fee is being applied from 1 Nov -
Optus deserve a good kick up the arse.

Always so slow on the uptake?

Yoiu can't answer a simple question?
I just got the same letter. The only problem is the credit on Optus prepaid plans expire after 6 months, I don't make any outgoing
calls at all so this is a waste of $30/6months. Where is this 0$ plan Rod Speed? I would have thought they don't have any if they
are cancelling the Your Save Plus plan?

Yeah, not very good value at all.

I've only ever seen it listed in the standard agreement docs.

They certainly havent notified me of any change in the Usage Only Plan.

you could switch to iSIM which is also on 6 month expiry but you can
recharge as low as $10, which is not so bad. make a call or two.
