As does mine. I did ring Optus about it, but their response was quite
literally, "err, dunno". :)
> Does anyone know which is supposed to be the case?
I'm just about to hit 30 days with some text credit remaining so we're
about to find out :-)
By the way, one other thing I noticed with Textsaver; when you recharge,
you get credit for 70 "textsaver" SMS messages, but you also get 50c of
"real" credit each time. I presume that's because the recharge system needs
to have some sort of value added to the phone's basic balance...

Why on EARTH did you do this?
Faults get lodged and then they get fixed.

They didn't log it as a fault; they simply told me I was wrong. Anyway, you
don't think Optus people read this newsgroup?
FWIW, if they're planning on fixing it, it's not fixed yet. If indeed there
is anything to be fixed at all.

At least one does.
Corse its distinctly arguable if its actually a person or a monkey.

Thats why sensible people dont discuss little perks like this.

In fairness to Anthony, I would have done the same if I hadn't got an
answer here. Otherwise I might have been sitting on all my credits for
30 days to see if they didn't expire, and then lost them all if they
had actually expired after 30 days. I don't think Optus would have
reimbursed me for them simply because their BAL message was incorrect.
They would have just referred me to the advertising and terms and
conditions, which say 30 days.
I still haven't got a conclusive answer on this from the group,
although you seem to suggest that this is happening to everyone and
the credits do in fact last until the next recharge period. Can
someone confirm this?
