Howdy all.
At least until iinet commence rollout of their full phone service, I'm
trying to figure out who currently charges me less for calls to mobile via
my fixed land line. I've got the option of iinet, who set out their charges
of 33c per min plus 20c flagfall at http://www.iinet.net.au/phone/, or
Telstra who list various 20 minute capped rates to Telstra mobiles,
depending on your plan - but nothing of the cost to other carriers @
http://www.telstra.com.au/phones/homeservices/plans_comparisons.htm.
So does anybody know what Telstra charge for landline calls to mobiles other
than their own?

I looked at it a while back it worked out pretty much similiar - the
kicker for iinet being that I could get access for half price.
You will need to check your bill and the Helstra website because they
have plans and different charges.
Cheers
Paul

Unless otherwise stated all references to location refer to Western Australia

Fancy having to pay a phone company 25 cents to ask them what they sell
Maybe the newsagent, butcher, Woolies etc could take on the same idea.
Another 'great' idea (NOT) under the regime of Mr. Ziggy.

Agreed.
I preferred the free call to 1222, they got rid of that and then the
freecall 1800 number.
I used to use Optus 1456 1222 to get their calls, then one day I got a bill
for $2.20!
Stung!
Never use them for LD calls anymore

Michael,
atleast I have been able to get a 1800 number to contact Telstra mobile.

Nothing new. I've seen some shops who actually charge for their
catalogs...
