Particularly good news for people on the old Telstra CDMA TopUp/Telstra CDMA
Pre-Paid who were looking to port out then port back in to take advantage of
this - you can claim your $15 migration credit first (and use it up), and
*then* do the MNP hokey-pokey some time before July and get double-recharges
(thegoons explained the initial port out/in etc idea a bit more clearly here

CDMA double recharge offer
7.4 If you connect to a Telstra Pre-Paid Plus CDMA service from 1 November
2004 until 30 June 2005, you will receive double the value of your recharges
for 12 months from activation. The extra credit will be applied to your
account within 24 hours of recharging and must be used within your network
access period. Your network access period will be determined by the
amount recharged. The offer is available with the 1c per minute offer, but
with no other
Telstra Pre-Paid Plus promotional offer for the 12 month period.

(and incidentally, no - there's no official extension of the 1c/min offer
beyond 31/1/05 in the Customer Terms document as yet)

Thanks for the update Giles. Would appear the 1 cent offer is either doomed,
or Telstra are lazy and will not update until too late. Both are just as
likely!

a sh.t offer to make up for the lack of bonus options starting next month,
like the last time they ended a prepaid promotion with several months gap

Their SFOA states that "The offer is available with the 1c per minute offer,
but with no other Telstra Pre-Paid Plus promotional offer for the 12 month
period". One could interpet that to say that we automatically get the 1 cent
offer for 12 months, irrespective of when the offer closes normally???? I
will let someone else bash their head against the wall with Telstra this
time to take the fight

<mindless drug-crazed fantasy>
Or it could mean that Telstra is planning to revise the bonus offer to
a different one, and that people who have subscribed to the double
recharge offer will be excluded </mdf>
I'd say Telstra would have to at least maintain the 1c/min offer for a
token period over February/March, given that it was billed to 'old' TPP
customers as a benefit they could enjoy upon migrating to TPP+
