I take a pretty dim view of computer billing errors, so I was peed off
when Simplus charged my credit card three times for the one payment I
made on their internet site this month.  I was even less impressed with
their reluctant offer to credit my bank "which will take three weeks".
By contrast, the month before they had charged me $10 late payment on a
$9 bill (their terms allow this) which shows they get precious when the
customer has their money.

Any other people getting slammed the same way this month by Simplus?  It
would be a nice way to improve cashflow.

Why don't you call your card issuer and explain what has happened and
request for a chargeback to be done?

Some card issuers automatically issue temporary credits for
chargebacks under investigation, others don't unless the customer
asks.

I just chargedback Orange's last direct debit as it couldn't get it's
act into gear re some credits owned. It's nice to give some of their
own back.

Tell them to get fscked.

I had them refund to my card for another issue, within a few days

If you get nowhere let me know and Ill post the name and number of their TIO

Complain to the TIO. Breach of ACIF credit code.

Complete waste of time, they'll just tell you to get simplus to fix it.

Not a f.cking clue, as always.

And you are within your rights to tell the TIO to f.ck off like I did.
So they get Simplus to fix it themselves

Wrong. As always.

Just some terminal fuckwit monkey at the TIO.

If you have already made an attempt to fix it with Simplus, you are within
your rights to tell them to f off if they tell you to do anything else

Fortunately, it was a small bill, so not worth spending lots of time
correcting as they have automatically applied credit to my Simplus
account.  I was more interested to know if this was a common system error
- no other disinterested person has replied, so it looks like it is
*fairly* uncommon.

It does get right up my nose though.
