I have searched all over the net for how to unlock this phone, without
coughing up $$$ to Telstra..

Anybody help?

I use Nokia Free unlocker download
available at http://unlock.nokiafree.org/
it does the Samsung SGH-X100

If a Samsung works the same as a Nokia; press the * key

once = "+"
twice= "p"
thee = "w"

I hope that makes sense in how I explained it.

Oh another thing if they work like a Nokia do not have more than 5 goes to
enter
the password or the phone may lock up and would need to seen to by a tech.

So I just press *** **** (without the gap).. then why not just say 7
asterisks'? If I hold down the * I get a 'P' not a 'p' or a 'w'?
