Emailling from Motorola V3

G'day all.
Just bought a new motorola v3, upgrading from my nokia 7250.
I used to be able to take a photo, add some text and send it to an
email address with no problems using the nokia, but It just doesn't
work with the motorola v3.
I have tried sending it as a mms message, and also as a email message,
both failling.
Anyone got one of these and know the secret?

Oh yes, mms and wap etc settings have been setup already.

Ok this is weird.. tried it just now, sending an mms message to an
email and the bitch works...
LOL.
