I received a letter which says that I can get $8
of free call credits per month if I sign up for
another 12 months. I wonder why they decided
to do this out of the blue? I've been off contract
for a long time, but had no intention of stopping
the Yes Value 5 plan. Are Optus going to be
getting rid of Yes Weekend or Yes Time or
something like that that they want to get me back
on a contract?
Thanks. Paul.
Here is an excerpt from the letter:
Receive an extra $96 of free call credits
If you are happy with your current mobile phone and rate plan, we'd be delighted to give you up to $8 of extra FREE CALL CREDITS -
every moneht for a whole year when you renew your 'yes' Value 5 plan for another 12 months.
The extra call credits are in addition to any that may be included with your current plan and can be used for both calls and SMS and
pohto messaging.

*up to* $8
How does the fine print say they will determine the amount?

Up to $8 probably means it depends on how much you use. If you use less
than $8, you'll only get that amount of credit, but if you spend $8 or
more, you'll get $8.

Sounds like the "Yes Thanks" deals they offer to keep you on the network for
another 12 months.
I just renewed my BYO 9 for another 12 months with $17 credit/month, Yes
time, Yes weekend, 10c/10min to my wifes mobile that is on the same bill,
and i still have Yes Text until 04/06.
